Professional Security Services Built on Trust and Compliance

At SSF Security, professionalism, accountability and compliance are at the centre of everything we do. We understand that clients need more than a visible security presence. They need confidence that their security provider operates responsibly, follows applicable UK requirements and maintains clear standards across every assignment.

Our security services are delivered through structured procedures, appropriately trained personnel, documented operational controls and clear communication. We carefully consider the requirements of each site, event and client before deployment so that our service is professional, proportionate and suitable for the environment.

SIA-Licensed Security Personnel

Where a role requires a licence under UK law, SSF Security deploys security personnel who hold the appropriate and valid Security Industry Authority licence. Licence details are checked as part of our deployment and compliance procedures before personnel are assigned to relevant duties.

Depending on the assignment, this may include licences for security guarding, door supervision, public space surveillance using CCTV or other regulated security activities. We ensure that personnel are selected for duties appropriate to their training, experience and licensing requirements.

Our approach helps clients maintain confidence that licensed security work is carried out by appropriately authorised professionals.

Security Screening and BS7858

SSF Security follows robust pre-employment screening procedures for security personnel. Where applicable to the role and screening requirements, these procedures are aligned with BS7858, the recognised standard for security screening of individuals working in a security environment.

Our screening process is designed to support responsible recruitment and may include identity verification, right to work checks, employment history checks, reference validation, address history and relevant background screening. Personnel are only considered for deployment when the required checks have been completed to the appropriate standard.

Screening records are handled securely and maintained in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.

Insurance and Client Protection

SSF Security maintains appropriate insurance arrangements for its business activities and operational services. This includes public liability insurance and employers’ liability insurance where required, together with any other cover relevant to the work being undertaken.

Evidence of current insurance can be made available to clients as part of the procurement or onboarding process, subject to the relevant terms and requirements. Clients are encouraged to request confirmation of insurance cover when required for their records or internal compliance procedures.

Health and Safety Procedures

The health, safety and wellbeing of our personnel, clients, visitors and members of the public are important to us. SSF Security applies structured health and safety procedures to support safe working practices across all assignments.

Before deployment, we consider the location, duties, working environment and foreseeable risks. Where appropriate, our operational planning includes site-specific risk assessments, method statements, pre-deployment briefings, clear site instructions, incident reporting procedures and safe systems of work.

Our personnel are expected to follow client instructions, site procedures and applicable health and safety requirements while carrying out their duties professionally and responsibly.

UK Data Protection and GDPR

SSF Security is committed to handling personal and confidential information responsibly. We process personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, where applicable to our activities.

Information obtained during recruitment, screening, security operations and client communications is handled securely and used only for legitimate business, operational and legal purposes. Access to sensitive information is restricted to authorised personnel, and records are retained and managed in accordance with our internal procedures and legal obligations.

Our commitment to responsible data handling supports client confidence and helps protect the privacy of employees, visitors, customers and members of the public.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

SSF Security is committed to providing a professional environment based on equality, dignity, fairness and respect. We aim to ensure that recruitment, employment and operational practices are carried out without unlawful discrimination.

We value the different backgrounds, skills and experiences of our personnel and believe that a respectful and inclusive working environment supports better service delivery. Our team is expected to treat clients, colleagues, visitors and members of the public professionally and fairly at all times.

Armed Forces Community

SSF Security recognises the valuable skills, discipline and experience that service leavers, reservists, veterans and military families can bring to the security industry. Where applicable, we support fair opportunities for members of the Armed Forces community and value the qualities they contribute to professional security work.

Any formal Armed Forces Covenant commitment, accreditation or membership should only be referenced on this page if SSF Security has officially signed or achieved it. Supporting documentation can be provided where applicable.

Operational Control and Accountability

Every security assignment is managed through clear operational procedures designed to support consistency, accountability and reliable service delivery. Depending on the nature of the assignment, this may include written site instructions, officer briefings, communication procedures, supervisory checks, handover records, incident escalation processes and regular contact between operational management and field personnel.

Our procedures help ensure that security officers understand their responsibilities, know how to respond to incidents and have access to the information required to carry out their duties safely and professionally.

Continuous Improvement

Compliance is an ongoing responsibility. SSF Security regularly reviews its procedures, training requirements, screening processes and operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure that our services continue to meet client expectations and applicable UK requirements.

We welcome constructive feedback from clients and use operational experience to strengthen our approach. Our aim is to provide security services that are professional, transparent, responsive and consistently reliable.
